Well I told you about the shocking fact that I had to learn when I left the huge Mitad del Mundo monument. The truth is that they built this place 100 meters south of the Equator.
This is what the nearby Museo Inti-Nan claims. It is - gues what - 100 meters north of Mitad del Mundo and has another Equator line. This one is based on calculations by the ancient Ecuadorian Quitus people. And the indigenous people who run the museum claim that GPS data proves that their ancestors were right. Probably the truth is in between but the Inti-Nan is definitely the more exciting museum. Entrance fee is 2US$ and you get a private tour of the place. The photo shows me after I completed the egg experiment: Since centrifugal forces are none on the Equator it is possible to balance an egg on the top of a nail.
Oh man, I am so cool! Que chevere!
