Lake Titicaca, the world's highest navigable lake at more than 3.600 meters. This water is huge! It almost looks like an ocean. I didn't dare to dip my paw in the water though. Bet it must have been freezing cold.
We took a two day boat tour which took us first to the floating islands of the Uros. This place is really touristy and you get the impression that the people just pretend to live here to impress the tourists. However, the islands are impressive. They are constructed of a special kind of weed and really float on the lake.
Next stop was Amantani island where we had an overnight home stay with a local family. Really interesting but the food was a little monotonous: Papas con arroz (Potatoes and rice) for lunch, dinner and even breakfast. I had to hide to avoid landing on the grill!
The next morning we went to Taquile island and in the Sunday afternoon back in Puno where I had to learn of the English 1-1 draw against Sweden. I hope we will beat Argentina. I am crossing paws for my squad.
Toodaloo and hoping for an 8:0 on Friday,
