South American Football - the creme de la creme, the best of the best, you name it. Well, probably no longer after my English squad beat the Argentinians! Eeeeeyak! Well done, David and the team!
So as I said South American football (i.e. soccer for the North American readers) is no longer what it used to be. So let's start with Bolivian football. O.k., I have to admit I do not know what it used to be like (can you still follow me?) but what I have seen today at La Paz's Estadio Hernando Siles was one of the worst games ever. I guess they would blame the altitude again and yes I would not want to play at 3,600 meters either but playing the ball to the keeper who is standing five meters left of the goal instead of hitting the empty net really deserves the title "Worst play of the year".
Anyway, we've seen four goals in total since "The Strongest La Paz" downed "San Jose Oruro" 3-1. So yes, they can hit the goal, eventually ...
I hope that my buddy will take me to a more exciting game soon. Keeping my paws crossed for England,
