You know the myth that South Americans clocks only run on Maņana time. Well, that is defintely not true for Bolivian transportation: We reached the La Paz bus terminal ten minutes early for our 9:30 bus to Oruro. When we paid our exit tax (pigs below 15 centimeters of height are free!) we were told that our bus had just left. Luckily the bus people set us up with another company and that one was running on Manaņa time ...
Luckily we still got to Oruro in time for our train to Uyuni. My pals bought first class tickets (pigs are again free here!) for 55 Bolivianos each to give themselves a nice treat.
They even showed a movie - "Jack Frost", an American Christmas movie about a guy who dies and returns to his family as a snow man. Is there anything than watching a Christmas movie
in the middle of summer?
Oh yes, exploring the train and eventually end up in the restaurant car where I immediately wiped pork chops off the menu.
Arrived in Uyuni after six and a half hours of train ride.
I will go to bed now. Toodaloo, Livingstone.
