Oops, this took a little longer than I thought but here I am again anyway!
Ok, after lunch in Dullstrom we headed on along a pretty scenic road to a very busy little town called Pilgrim's Rest. It used to be a mining town - gold was found there in 1873 - and now the whole town is a national monument and attracts lots of tourists. It is a pretty place though and we walked around a bit, checked out a small museum and then had a cold one at the Royal Hotel.
Unfortunately you can't see a lot of the town in the picture but you have to admit that the purple tree behind me is pretty! It's a jacaranda and if you want to see lots of them blooming you should go to Pretoria - also called 'Jacaranda City' - in the spring (Oct/Nov)!
