Hi again, this is going to be a rather short entry.
After our tram ride we checked out the Native Plant and the Rock Garden (there’s an extra fee but it’s only $1). That turned out to be cool because we saw a garden snake and also a frog! Andrea scared another visitor walking by by saying something like “Did you see the snake?” The poor woman jumped and screamed at the same time … that was kind of funny, he he … Garden snakes -and we had just learned that minutes earlier - are harmless, by the way.
From the Native Plant Garden we walked back to the lilacs and also took a closer look at the crabapples. They were so beautiful, they quickly became my favorite trees! Most of them were in full bloom, ranging in color from white to pink and almost purple.
After so much walking I was very tired, so I hopped into Andrea’s bag to take a nap – and guess what, I slept so well that when I woke up again, we were already on the train back to Westfield! So that was that, a beautiful day in a beautiful garden! Definitely worth another visit, maybe when the roses are in bloom!
P.S.: Since there’s no picture with me and a crabapple, this one will have to do – the plant is called a bleeding heart.
