On my latest trip to Germany I didn't get to do a lot of sightseeing but I visited one very cool place, an apartment building designed by the late great Austrian architect, painter, environmentalist, philosopher and who knows what else, Friedensreich Hundertwasser!
It's located in the small town of Plochingen in Baden-Württemberg, not far from Stuttgart. It's shaped like a ring and inside the inner courtyard is the 'Regenturm', the rain tower. Most of the decoration is on the inside and unfortunately the courtyard is only accessible to residents. There are guided tours however but they need to be pre-booked and this little piggy didn't know that. But as you can see I was still able to take a good look by looking over the fence and climbing around on the walls!
P.S.: Hundertwasser's buildings are a lot like us TravelPigs - no right angles or straight lines, all is well rounded! ;)
